Peace International Day!
Everybody says that today is peace international day.
What is the meaning of peace? I and like me people who born in war, grown-up in war, studied in war, working in war, Living in war….. People who have been experiencing war for more than 3 decades, the word peace is looking unfamiliar.
Could somebody please introduce this peace for our generation? Is it tangible or intangible? Is it solid or liquid? What is it for?????????
Why people talking about it? Why people writing about it? Why people celebrate this day?
Of course I have read in the books that peace is when people are able to resolve their conflicts without violence and can work together to improve the quality of their lives.
Peace is when everyone lives in safety without fear or threat of violence, and no form of violence is tolerated in law or in practice.
Everyone is equal before the law, the systems for justice are trusted and fair and effective laws protect people’s rights.
Everyone has an equal opportunity to work and make a living , regardless of gender, ethnicity or any other aspect of identity………
And according to Dalai Lama: peace cans only last where human rights are respected where the people are fed, and where individuals and nations are free.
But why we people of Afghanistan are deprived to have this peace for more than a long time?
We Afghans three decades war ravaged people have never experienced anything by the name of peace. All we have seen are war, hostilities, blood, kills, haters, destructions…
Shame on the people those who only want peace for themselves.
Shame on the people who create war.
Shame on the people who send ammunitions and encourage war.
Wish the annihilation of all the war creators including their ammunitions even a single one.
People of the world!
Please give us a piece of peace
Please give us a piece of love
